Digital Desk: Keeping an eye on the safety of the general people, the Guwahati Traffic Police has put some limitations on vehicle movement in the city ahead of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar's visit to Guwahati on Tuesday (July 4, 2023).

Notably, an official notification was issued by Guwahati's Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic. Here's what the statement read "To ensure safety of public, especially vulnerable road users like children, students, women, senior citizens and differently-abled persons on the road and to give free passage to the emergency vehicles likes Ambulances, Fire tenders etc., the following restrictions on the movement of vehicles shall be imposed on 4th July, 2023 during the visit of the Hon'ble Vice President of India to Guwahati."

Furthermore, the Vice President's Secretariat announced on Sunday that VP Jagdeep Dhankhar will attend the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati's 25th Convocation during his stay in Guwahati, He will also converse with IIT Guwahati students.

Reportedly, Dhankhar would also pay a visit to the Kamakhya Temple and pray there.
