Digital Desk: On Wednesday, a fire broke out on the New Delhi-Darbhanga Superfast Express in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, affecting three of its carriages. According to officials, a few persons were injured in the fire incident.

According to officials, the station master observed smoke in the sleeper coach as the train passed past Sarai Bhupat station.

The station master then halted the train by telling the train driver and guard about the smoke. Following that, the occupants were removed from the sleeper carriage.

As soon as the train caught fire, several passengers got out. Reportedly, the train was carrying more passengers than it could accommodate.

According to sources, the fire started on the bogies of the 02570 New Delhi-Darbhanga Superfast Express train in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. When the train caught fire, several passengers jumped out. 

The fire broke out near the Sarai Bhupat Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh. As per reports, the fire has been put out.

Furthermore, the three burned-out bogies have been removed from the train. A short circuit, according to authorities, may have sparked the train fire.

As reported by officials, fire engines have rushed to the scene and are attempting to extinguish the fire.
