Digital Desk: A tribal woman filed a report to the police that she was abducted by three men around six months ago and raped repeatedly.

The woman, a resident of Bhagor village, said that she had been kidnapped from her home and confined in an isolated area for the last six months.

She further claimed in a FIR that the accused had sexually assaulted her and physically abused her, filed at the Kishanganj police station on Wednesday .

According to Kishanganj police station in-charge, the victim has named three men.

"Based on the woman's statement, we have filed a case, and additional investigation are still on. The search operation to locate all three of the accused named in the FIR has started as well," Kuldeep Khatri, in-charge of Kishanganj police station said.

Sunil Mehta, the superintendent of police for Indore Rural, stated, "Three different individuals abducted a tribal woman and repeatedly assaulted her under the jurisdiction of Kishanganj police station in the district. Since February of this year, the accused have been raping the woman repeatedly.

"Two of the suspects are from a tribal community. In accordance with Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 365, 376, 376 (2)n, 376 D, 506, 34 and applicable provisions of the SC-ST Act, the police filed a complaint against all three of the accused and started a search operation to locate them," he added.

According to the police, the victim was kidnapped and raped by two of the accused, Ranjit and Gulab Singh, with the help of a third accused, Ram Singh.
