Digital Desk: Early trends indicate that the Left-Congress alliance is ahead in 16 seats, just six seats ahead of Pradyot Manikya Debbarma's Tipra Motha. The ruling BJP-IPFT alliance, which surged ahead in Tripura in the very early trends, is now struggling at the halfway point. However, in Nagaland, where it is allied with the NDPP, the BJP has established a commanding lead. According to early indications, the coalition is ahead in 35 seats while the NPF was ahead in three seats. According to trends, the BJP is ahead in 7 seats in Meghalaya while Conrad Sangma's NPP is leading in 23 seats.

Elections were held in 59 of Nagaland's 60 seats even though one (Akuluto) was won by the Bharatiya Janata Party without any opposition (BJP). The total has decreased from 60 to 59 in Meghalaya as well due to the annulment of an election for one seat.
Tripura is a Left-leaning stronghold that the BJP recently took over. The results of the elections in Meghalaya and Nagaland will also reveal whether it has gained more ground in those two states or if the opposition has managed to lessen its influence.
