New Delhi: Bollywood's actor Kangana Ranaut's Twitter account has been permanently removed from Twitter. She has posted a controversial post regarding the violence in West Bengal and its Election. The actor's account was frequently found to violated Twitter policy on "hateful conduct and abusive behavior.

A Twitter spokesperson said, "We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy. We enforce the Twitter Rules judiciously and impartially for everyone on our service."

Her Instagram account is still active. So far, she has not posted anything related to the suspension of her Twitter account. In the teary-eyed speech, she speaks about "disturbing news, videos, and photos from Bengal of people being murdered, gang-raped and their houses being burnt".

Kangana had tagged Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in vengeance. She had written in a tweet, "My account and my virtual identity might get martyred for the country anytime." Kangana was also found to criticize the platform for suspending the account of former US President Donald Trump.
