Guwahati: An Assam-based NGO named "All & Sundry" has been campaigning for communities. They are educating people about the importance of locally grown food as immunity boosters to fight Covid 19.

The group has been distributing disposable masks around the communities. "We advise people to ingest foods that have medicinal properties and are rich in nutrients such as zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D for strengthening one’s immunity. The focus is on vegetables, fruits, herbs, and dairy products they produce and are locally available and affordable,” the NGO’s founder Abhishek Singha said.

All & Sundry's members are working in areas like Golaghat, Majuli, Lakhimpur, and Sonitpur districts. they are teaching the importance of using disposable masks. They are also asking people to avoid cloth masks for safety.

“Many people are not aware of how nutrients work in maintaining or increasing the body’s immune system and metabolism. Our job is to tell them how and which food is rich in what nutrients,” Abhishek added.

The NGO has so far distributed 3,000 surgical masks to needy people, each given 14 pieces for a week. Members of the group organize campaigns to showcase the use of masks and when to dispose of them.
