Digital Desk: Two individuals from Assam have gone missing in another state, sparking widespread concern. Loknath Baruah (50) and Pranjal Saikia (36), residents of Namdangia village in Galeky, Nazira, have been untraceable since June 27.

Their families have lodged a complaint at the Galeky police station, urging authorities to investigate the matter.

The duo started their journey from Simaluguri Railway Junction on June 25, seeking employment in Hyderabad. However, they reportedly went missing at Howrah Junction and have not reached their destination.

Loknath Baruah's son, Rituporna Baruah, is working in a private company in Hyderabad.

The two men were travelling with four other youths- Biswajit Hatimuria, Dhruvajyoti Baruah alias Rongai, Aposhim Gogoi, and Bitul Baruah.

The four youths have successfully reached Hyderabad, but there has been no trace of Loknath Baruah and Pranjal Saikia.

The families are now appealing to the Assam government through the media, seeking intervention and a thorough investigation into the incident.
