Rajdeep Das and Pranay Das from the Shingimari area of Hojai won gold medals in the national level Thang-Ta competition, a traditional Manipuri martial art.

Rajdeep Das and Pranay Das from the Shingimari area of Hojai won gold medals in the national level Thang-Ta competition, a traditional Manipuri martial art.  

The two are related as uncle and nephew.
 
In the competition held in Bihar, Rajdeep defeated his Haryana opponent and Pranay defeated his Madhya Pradesh opponent to earn gold medals. 

The people of Hojai and the surrounding area are currently elated with the success of both. 

On May 26 morning, as soon as they arrived in Hojai Railway Station, family members and the entire community gave a warm welcome to both youths. 

It is worth mentioning that Rajdeep Das is a tenth-grade student at Hojai Shankardeva Vidya Niketan, while Pranay Das is a tenth-grade student at Raikota High School.
