The singer had been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the past two years, sources close to her family said.
She was admitted to the hospital three days before her demise.
Her last rites will be performed at Navagraha Crematorium at 6 PM on Friday.
She is survived by her husband and two children.
Gayatri Hazarika was known for her passion and incredible contributions to the Assamese music industry, making a significant impact through her soulful voice.
