Guwahati: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is likely to visit Assam next week to monitor the COVID Situation and will also visit Kerala as cases in Kerala are not slowing down.

He is expected to visit Kerala on 16th August and meet the Chief Minister Of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan as well as Health Minister Veena George and all the officials involved in the COVID Management.

He is likely to fly to Assam on 17th from Kerala to review a meeting.

Other senior officials and Director of National Center Disease Control (NCDC) will also attend the meeting with him.

Meanwhile, Assam recorded 763 Covid Cases On Friday Out Of 1,15,465 tests with a positivity rate of 0.66%. Further 20 People succumbed to the disease on Friday and 1169 People were Discharged.
