Recently, around 2,350 beneficiaries in Maharajganj district received payments under the PMAY scheme. Subsequently, ten similar cases were reported where husbands notified authorities of their wives to be missing.

Suniya's father-in-law urged the government to transfer the remaining two installments directly to Sanjay's account, stating, "The funds were deposited into our daughter-in-law's account, only for us to discover later that she had absconded with someone else. We request the government to transfer the funds to our son's account."

The concerned department has been instructed to pursue legal action against the beneficiaries and recover the misused funds."
