Pramod Bodo led the UPPL government, in ally with the ruling BJP, observed the completion of one year since coming into power.

The day was marked by a day-long program along with public rallies conducted by the party members.

The BTR chief also remembered the supreme sacrifices made by 1617 Bodo Martyrs who laid their lives for the cause of Bodos.

One of the remarkable changes that BTR has seen in recent times is, Assam's Bodoland Territorial Region leaves gun culture behind to follow the path of development.

BTR which was once hit by insurgency, after the BJP –BPF ally, the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) in Assam has been transforming itself as many militant groups have left the path of violence to join the mainstream.

Executive members and MLAs including BTR Chief Pramod Boro offered tribute to the brave hearts at the Bodoland Cemetry at Dergaon in Kokrajhar.

The event was graced by the presence of Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma as the Chief Guest of the event, also Union minister of the railway and state minister of textiles Darshana Jardos will grace the event as a special guest.

 Whereas, BPF MLA Durga Das Boro said the Pramod Boro-led BTC government has not been able to do anything in a year.

Durga Das Boro informed the media that He(BTR Chief Pramod Bodo) has not even made a road in BTR in a year. A new school has not been set up. Pramod Boro has destroyed the previous primary framework (Basic structure of BTC) of BTC in a year.

BPF MLA Durga Das Boro said Pramod Boro's UPPL party along with BJP had promised one job in every house during the elections seeking votes from house to house. He said he would give Rs 75,000 to each self-help group. These are not fulfilled to date.
