According to Biden, India and the United States are essential allies whose common commitment to the rule of law and the advancement of human freedom and dignity forms the foundation of their strategic partnership.

Digital Desk: On Sunday, US President Joe Biden congratulated India on its 75th anniversary of independence and said the two countries would continue to cooperate to address global issues in the years to come.

On Monday, India will commemorate the end of British colonial rule by marking the 75th anniversary of its independence.

In a statement, Biden referred to Mahatma Gandhi, the founder of the Indian independence movement, and stated that the United States "joins the people of India in respecting its democratic journey, led by Mahatma Gandhi's eternal message of truth and non-violence."

According to Biden, India and the United States are essential allies whose common commitment to the rule of law and the advancement of human freedom and dignity forms the foundation of their strategic partnership.

The Indian-American community, according to Biden, has contributed to the United States being a more creative, welcoming, and powerful country.
