Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and instructed officials to immediately reach the accident site and initiate relief efforts.


Digital Desk: A tragic stampede occurred on Tuesday at a religious gathering in Pulrai village, Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the deaths of 27 individuals, including 23 women and three children.

Etah SSP Rajesh Kumar Singh reported, "As of now, 27 bodies have been received at Etah Hospital, comprising 23 women, 3 children, and one man. The injured have not yet arrived at the hospital... Further investigation is underway. The process of identifying these 27 bodies is ongoing..."

According to SHO Ashish Kumar of Sikandara Rao police station, the stampede appears to have been caused by overcrowding, as a large number of people had gathered for the 'satsang' event.
