Digital Desk: Good news emerges as the rescue ops in Uttarkashi come to an end after 17 days, and in a recent development it's been reported that all 41 workers have been rescued successfully. 

The 423-hour rescue operation is completed successfully, and the ambulance departs for the hospital via the green corridor.

The hospital is 40 kilometres away from the tunnel site. Ambulances will take 20-25 minutes to reach Silkyara Hospital via the green corridor.

According to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the temporary medical camp that has been set up in the tunnel is providing an initial health screening for all personnel.

Uttarakhand CM  Pushkar Singh Dhami took his joy to his X handle and posted a video of the 41 workers being rescued, he stated, "Patience, hard work and belief prevail today."

"I feel relieved and happy to learn that all the workers trapped in a tunnel in Uttarakhand have been rescued," tweets President Droupadu Murmu.
In a major development, two people from Assam were among the rescued, Ram Prasad Narzary and Sanjay Basumatary of Ramfalbil, Kokrajhar, were identified as the victims hailed from Assam.

Since there was no TV, Ram Prasad and Sanjay's family saw the entire rescue operation scenario on their mobile phones. Both of their homes are filled with a festive vibe.
