The 82-year-old actor has been receiving care at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in this city lately.

Digital Desk: Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, who has worked in theatre, film, and television, has been admitted to the intensive care unit of a local hospital after his health declined, sources close to his family said on Wednesday night.

They reported that his health was critical.

The 82-year-old actor has been receiving care at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in this city lately.

Officials from the hospital steadfastly declined to comment on his condition. Gokhale has appeared in a number of Marathi and Bollywood movies, including "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" (1999), starring Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and "Agneepath," a 1990 film starring Amitabh Bachchan. The current release of his most recent Marathi movie, "Godavari," is in theatres.
