Digital Desk: Star Indian batter Virat Kohli celebrated the T20 World Cup 2024 victory with his family at Hotel ITC Maurya in Delhi, following the team's arrival in the early hours of Thursday, July 4. Fans gathered in large numbers at the airport to greet the Men in Blue, who received a warm reception upon their return.

Outside the hotel, the entire team was welcomed with enthusiastic cheers, accompanied by lively celebrations including Dhol beats and dancing as they disembarked from the team bus. Local hero Kohli joined in the festivities with his family, including his sister Bhawna Kohli and brother Vikas Kohli, who came to meet him at the hotel.



Bhawna shared photos of their reunion on her Instagram story, capturing moments where Kohli proudly displayed his winner’s medal alongside his nephews and niece. Kohli's standout performance in the final, where he was awarded Player of the Match for his innings of 76 runs off 59 balls, was crucial in India's victory. Despite a challenging tournament start with only 75 runs in seven matches, Kohli's pivotal knock helped steer the team to a competitive total of 176/7 after a shaky start at 34/3 in 4.3 overs.



Following their celebrations in Delhi, Team India is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 10 am on Thursday. Later in the day, they will depart for Mumbai, where a special road show has been arranged for fans to see the players up close with the World Cup Trophy in the evening. The team will also be honored at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai as part of their celebratory events.
