Digital Desk: Virat Kohli reached his 76th international century on Day 2 of the second Test against the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago's Port of Spain on Friday.

After Day 1 came to an end, Kohli was still batting in his 80s. He batted carefully to add another century to his great career. He scored 10 boundaries without any big sixes to reach his ton. In his 500th international game, he broke the record for most hits by a batter with a ton. He simultaneously reached his 29th Test century to tie Sir Donald Bradman's record.

The former captain of India not only scored the fifth-most runs for his nation in Test cricket but also scored the most runs overall.

After winning the toss and choosing to bowl first, West Indies' bowlers staged an incredible comeback in the second session to enable their team to reduce India to 182/4 at tea on Day 1.

However, Kohli managed to keep the innings together, and he and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja added 102 runs for the incomplete fifth-wicket stand.

The RCB player needed 97 balls and 6 boundaries to reach his 30th half-century in Test cricket. He and Jadeja put together a partnership of 50 runs for the fifth wicket in 94 balls, and after that, they reached 100 runs in just 162 balls.

In order to put the West Indies under pressure in their first innings, took the initiative from the hosts as they chase a 2-0 victory in the two-match series, and get off to a strong start in the 2023–23 World Test Championship season, India, with King Kohli at the crease, will be hoping to post a total in excess of 400.

India's batting score at the time of Kohli's century was 314/4.
