Digital Desk: The moon is one of the most beautiful celestial bodies that can be seen from Earth. It is covered in craters and rocks that are lit up by the sun's reflection. India history by being the first nation to set foot on the moon's southern pole. This was done as part of Chandrayaan-3, the third lunar exploration program carried out by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
 
After the US, the Soviet Union, and China, India became the fourth country to land on the moon. There have been several reports about people buying land on the moon.

It has been reported that the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput had also purchased property on the moon. In addition to him, Shah Rukh Khan was also given some space on the moon by one of his fans. Let's now examine the cost and procedure for purchasing land on the Moon.

As per reports, companies like Luna Society International and the International Lunar Lands Registry claim to sell land on the moon. 

According to common belief, there will soon be life on the moon, and humans will be able to settle there. The land was purchased by Sushant Singh Rajput through the International Lunar Lands Registry.  Reportedly, his part is at the Sea of Muscovy on the moon. Along with him, the other buyers of the lunar land were Rajiv Bagdi from Hyderabad and Lalit Mohta from Bengaluru.

It needs to be mentioned that according to international organizations, no one is permitted to legally own the moon. This is so that no single person or nation may claim ownership of the outer world, which is the collective inheritance of the whole human species. No nation or individual is permitted to legally possess a satellite or a planet in space, according to the Outer Space Treaty of 1967. 110 other countries have signed this treaty in addition to India.

According to The Lunar Registry, one acre of land on the moon costs USD 37.50, or roughly Rs 3100. Many individuals are attracted to it and claim the land on the moon due to such low prices.
