A viral social media video shows a delivery agent without a raincoat waiting at a traffic signal.

Digital Desk: To ensure that we receive our meals hot and warm, employees of food delivery services like Zomato and Swiggy generally work extremely hard in almost any type of weather.

However, when the weather becomes severe for the employees, things get exceedingly difficult for them. For instance, a Swiggy delivery partner was recently observed waiting at a traffic light while it was pouring heavily.

He was very wet and lacking a raincoat, and he kept checking his phone—possibly to see how his order was doing, whether he was running late for a delivery, or simply to see the time.

Social media is buzzing with discussion about the footage posted by Instagram user Dinnes Komma on the Meta-owned photo-sharing website.

The caption of Komma's Instagram image, which also attracted hundreds of comments, noted that "hard employee life is not easy for everyone." Most of these comments expressed sadness over the delivery party's predicament.

Many users asked food delivery services to give their staff at least raincoats so they can serve meals to clients securely.

During the rainy season, a user requested that the owners of the food deliveries give the delivery boys rain jackets.

Over 9 lakh people have liked and viewed the video, and it also has nearly 5 million views.
