Digital Desk: In another horrifying incident, a 14-year-old girl was reportedaly raped by the son of a Trinamool Congress gram panchayat member. The minor died as a result of the purported event.


On Saturday, the victim's father filed an FIR in response to the incident. According to the FIR, the kid attended a birthday celebration hosted by TMC panchayat member Samar Goali's son Sohel on Monday.


According to reports, the victim was a Class IX student. When the victim got home from the birthday celebration, she was seriously unwell. The kid was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated, but she did not survive. According to The Times of India, the victim died in the afternoon and was allegedly burned in haste in a nearby burning ghat.

Police are investigating whether the girl attended the gathering alone or with a lady. According to the minor's father, the victim was reportedly compelled to consume alcohol during the party and then dropped home by a lady and unidentified guys.


The victim's father also claimed that the accused, a local strongman, threatened him. The accused reportedly intimidated and advised the victim's father not to take his son to the hospital or file a complaint.


Police detained the accused of the alleged rape of a juvenile girl on Sunday. Sohel has been recognised as the accused by the police.
