Digital Desk: The Yo-Yo Test, which was first introduced under Virat Kohli's captaincy, was recently brought back into play by the BCCI.
Following the recent performances of the Indian team, the Yo-Yo Test is once again required. They will need to get a specific par score because many others have already aced the fitness test, which makes it significantly more challenging for them to make the team.
A player must receive a score of 16.5 to pass the Yo-Yo Test, whereas before the passing score was 16.1, according to BCCI's most recent criteria, as reported by PTI.
Yo-Yo Test explained:
The Yo-Yo Test is a 2-km time circuit workout that evaluates an athlete's speed and stamina.
The Indian squad will occasionally be asked to participate in a Test. Players must move between two cones or markers that are put 20 metres apart while running between them at a faster and faster speed.
A player will be instructed to run from cone B to cone A after a buzzer is pressed, and then return to the starting position after another buzzer.
The time between two buzzers gets shorter after each leap, forcing the player to go faster.
If a player misses two buzzers, the test is over, and the obtained score serves as their final reading for the Yo-Yo Test.

According to PTI, former captain Virat Kohli even exceeded the 19-point mark in the Test, and there were other players as well who came very close to the 19-point threshold, including Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, and Karun Nair.
