Digital Desk: Congress leader Pawan Khera commented on the buzz surrounding Rahul Gandhi's beard, stating that it represents the numerous people who met Gandhi on the Bharat Jodo Yatra, as well as the journey that was undertaken.

"Rahul ji, the stories of thousands of people who met you during the Bharat Jodo Yatra are etched in your beard. Your beard symbolizes the yatra that we witnessed," Khera said. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi talked about his new look and stated that he chose not to shave his beard during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Now as the yatra has ended, he is yet to decide whether he will keep his present look or not.

Khera also praised Gandhi, comparing him with historical leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru and claiming that the war being fought today is between two legacies: one that unites and one that divides. He continued by praising Sonia Gandhi's enduring dedication to moral principles in difficult conditions and asserting that Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra journey was intended to halt the rise of divisive politics.

"When Rahul Gandhi talks, from Delhi to Nagpur, there is a Nehru-Gandhi rumble by the Prime Minister. They have no idea how to respond. Whatever the circumstances, Sonia Gandhi has taught us that there should never be a compromise on moral principles," he said.

"Rahul Gandhi, you have the simplicity of Mahatma Gandhi and the depth of Nehru. How will they fight you? This is the battle of two legacies -- roots that unite and shakhas that divide. We don't hate their shakhas but they hate our roots. Rahul Gandhi embarked on the Bharat Jodo Yatra to stop their divisive politics," Pawan Khera said.

Apart from the beard, Gandhi's choice of clothes, particularly his t-shirt, grabbed attention during the yatra, as he weathered the cold of North India in the garment until he reached Kashmir.
