Digital Desk: A tragic road accident occurred at Tinsukia’s Bahadur Chariali, where a dumper (AS 06 AC 4549) transporting soil ran over an 18-year old woman, killing her on the spot.


Serious allegations have emerged suggesting that illegal soil excavation has been ongoing for a significant period in areas under the jurisdiction of Bordubi Police Station.


The dumper involved in the fatal accident was reportedly engaged in these unlawful activities.

Following the incident, local residents managed to detain the dumper. Public unrest escalated, with angry locals demanding justice for the deceased woman.


They blocked the Tinsukia-Duliajan highway and staged a strong protest.


The situation at the accident site remains highly tense, and the blockade has completely disrupted vehicle movement in the area.
