Digital Desk: A 27-year-old woman in Karnataka's Krishnagiri died during delivery loss of excessive blood during delivery as her husband tried to give birth naturally at home using a method he allegedly found on YouTube, reports said. The woman suffered blood loss after her husband failed to cut the umbilical cord properly.

Loganayaki, a native of Puliampatti near Pochampalli, died, and Rathika, the medical officer of the Primary Health Centre, reported her death to the police.

Police sources claim that when Loganayaki's labour pains began, her husband, Madhesh, decided to have the baby at home. The umbilical cord was reportedly improperly cut at delivery, causing significant blood loss. She was rushed to the PHC unconscious and declared dead when she reached there.

The police then reported the incident following Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
