According to reports, the woman's body was found in a rented home in the city's Christian Basti neighborhood.
Trishna Kakoti has been identified as the deceased, according to sources. It was alleged that she and her live-in partner were living in the rented house.
It is to be noted that an FIR has been filed into the matter by the woman's family member, following which the Dispur Police have currently detained her partner, Bishnu in connection with the incident.
