Desk: In a tragic instance, a woman in the Assam
Tinsukia district committed suicide on Sunday over dowry-related issues within
her husband's home.The deceased has reportedly been identified as Pompi, and sources claim that she was under pressure from her in-laws to give them a bed as dowry.
Pompi's spouse informed the authorities that she had hanged herself in his Doomdooma home.
But Shyam or his family departed by shutting the door to their home instead of informing Pompi's family about the incident.
Locals and family members asserted that it was not a suicide but a deliberate homicide.
The police have launched an inquiry in line with the FIR filed and have apprehended Shyam Deka.
