Digital Desk: A woman was reportedly kidnapped by a group of 15 men from her residence in the Mayiladuthurai district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday.

According to reports, the whole incident was caught on a CCTV camera placed nearby, where it was seen that the 15 men broke down her front gate and barged into her home.

However, all the 15 accused were arrested by the police, and the woman was also rescued the same night.

As per the preliminary investigation, it has been reported that the woman was befriended by one of the accused named Vigneshwaran (34), who then started stalking her.

After being reported by the woman to the Mayiladuthurai Police, Vigneshwaran is said to have been admonished, given a written statement, and then released.

On July 12, Vigneshwaran tried to kidnap the woman, but she managed to escape and inform the police, so they started looking for him.

Meanwhile, Vigneshwaran and his 14 friends broke into the woman's house and kidnapped her. They also used knives and other sharp weapons to threaten her family.

After being notified, Mayiladuthurai Police prepared a search team immediately, and the vehicle was spotted on the National Highway. After saving the woman, the team arrested Vigneshwaran and his two accomplices.
