Bengal: A picture won hearts that portrayed a woman serving the leftover food from the wedding to the poor and needy. A wedding photographer took a snap of the woman at the Ranaghat railway station in Bengal.

Nilanjan Mondal, a wedding photographer, shared the moment on a wedding photographers' page on Facebook. Mondal named the woman Papiya Kar, serving the poor with leftover food from her brother's wedding.

Usually, Indian marriages are celebrated as big fat weddings, where food is prepared for thousands of guests. In such a scenario, foods get wasted. So, most cooked meals get wasted as the guests did not make it up for the wedding.

However, this woman has brought a change in society with her simple step towards serving humanity in need. Through the picture, you can observe that the woman was wearing traditional attire, and she was busy serving food to the needy. She was smiling while she was serving food for them.

As per sources, people of all ages had assembled at the platform where she was serving food. There was Dal, Roti, Sabzi, and rice among the dishes served.

Likes and praises showered upon the post shared by the wedding photographer. Some stated that it wasn't an isolated case and that Kar had, too, cooked meals and served them to the poor and needy earlier.

Comments like these indicated that Kar was not serving food for the first time. She also has an inspiration within herself to help those who are in need. India, where people die out of hunger, it is essential for the nation to have such humans with kindness.
