Barpeta: State minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass forwarded a check of Rs 2.5 lacs each to 15 women who lost their husbands due to Covid 19, at the Barpeta District Office. Many women broke down in front of the minister after receiving the check.
Assuring them of all help, Ranjeet Kumar Dass said that this government strives to work for all round development and will always come to the aid of the common people whenever they need any.

This special initiative was undertaken today at Barpeta DC Office, wherein 15 women under Baghbar and Barpeta Revenue Circle received the financial aid as part of the government Covid Beneficiary schemes.
While providing the aid, the minister even stated that the names of the women who lost their husbands due to Covid, will be enlisted in the first phase of the Orunodoi Scheme.
