In a recent incident in Goalpara, question papers of half-yearly exams for classes 9 and 10 were leaked before the commencement of the exam. The incident has been reported in Karbala Higher Secondary school, Prithiram Government Higher Secondary school, and Vidyapeeth Government high secondary school in Goalpara.
It came to the notice of the authorities that the Class 10 Science subject question paper was replaced by the Class 9 Science question paper once it was distributed among the students. Shockingly, the inspector of the schools in Goalpara district is maintaining silence on the entire issue and has not tendered any statements yet.
Moreover Karabala Higher Secondary School Headmaster Nurul Islam did not attend the school even on the exam day, following which Class 10 exams were canceled in the district. The education department in the district is seen to be paying the least attention to the matter.
A similar incident was reported in Morigaon on 25th November where question papers of Science and Social Science were allegedly leaked. An inquiry has been initiated in the case.
