Raut further took an oath in the name of Shiv Sena founder and late firebrand leader Bal Thackeray, claiming that he had nothing to do with any scam.

Digital Desk: Soon after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s residence in Mumbai in connection with a money laundering case, he denied any wrongdoing.

The search was conducted in response to several summons that the ED had issued to Raut for interrogation in connection with a money laundering investigation into alleged irregularities in the redevelopment of a Mumbai "chawl" and related transactions involving his wife and "associates."

Asserting that he was the target of a political vendetta in a series of tweets in Marathi, Raut stated that he wouldn't leave the Shiv Sena despite the central investigative agency's action.

Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha member twitted, "I will not leave Shiv Sena... Even if I die, I will not surrender. "

Raut further took an oath in the name of Shiv Sena founder and late firebrand leader Bal Thackeray, claiming that he had nothing to do with any scam.

He wrote on Twitter, "I swear by the late Balasabheb Thackeray that I have nothing to do with any scam... Balasaheb taught us to fight...I will continue to fight for Shiv Sena. "

In connection with the Patra Chawl renovation scam, the investigating agency temporarily attached immovable properties worth Rs 11.15 crore in April. Raut's wife, Varsha, owned a flat in Dadar, and eight land parcels in Kihim, close to Alibag, jointly owned by Varsha and Swapna Patkar. Sujit Patkar, a close friend of the Sena leader, is the husband of Swapna, who has turned on Raut in this instance.

On June 28, the ED questioned Sena leader Sanjay Raut in connection with the Patra Chawl land fraud. However, Raut declined to cooperate with the investigation, citing the Monsoon Session of Parliament as an excuse. He then dared the investigation team to arrest him, but he eventually made it to the ED office.
