Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain will compete for gold medals in today's Women's World Boxing Championships in Delhi...

Digital Desk: Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain will compete for two more gold medals for India on Sunday (March 26) at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in Delhi, a day after Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety won gold medals in the Women's World Boxing Championships.

Nitu (48 kg) won her maiden World Championships medal with a 5-0 victory over Mongolia's Lutsaikhan Altantsetseg, while 3-time Asian medalist Saweety (81 kg) won another gold by defeating China's Wang Lina. 

Nikhat will compete in the 50 kg final on Sunday against two-time Asian champion Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam. If Nikhat wins, it will be her second World Championship gold in a row. Lovlina, a Tokyo Olympics medalist, will compete against Caitlin Parker of Australia, who has two Commonwealth Games gold medals.


Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain's Women's World Boxing Championships Final will be held today, March 26, 2023. Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain's final matches will begin at 6 p.m. IST at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi.

The final boxing battle between Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain will be streamed live on the SonyLiv app and website. The matches will be aired live on Doordarshan's official YouTube account. The final bouts of Nitu and Saweety will be shown live on Doordarshan and Sony Network.
