Every year on 17th May 2022, World Hypertension Day is observed to create and increase the awareness of the ill effects of hypertension. The main reason to observe the day is to make people aware of the harmful effects of this disease.  

Digital Desk: Nowadays, hypertension is a very common factor. Many youngsters suffer due to this disorder because of tremendous pressure at work. Mostly, people between the ages of 20 to 40 complain about mental health issues. The most unfortunate fact is the rate of complaints is increasing in a steady graph. 

Hypertension increases the rate of disorder in vital organs of the human body. The risk factor of heart attacks, brain disorders, and kidney failure increases upto a great extent if a person suffers from hypertension. According to WHO, when a person always has high blood pressure, then the person is said to suffer from hypertension. Hypertension leads to high blood pressure and, subsequently, heart attacks. 

Hypertension can occur due to several reasons, such as poor physical health, family problems, job dissatisfaction, relationship troubles, or isolation. One should take proper care of one’s mental health. One shouldn’t take too much stress, which might affect their heart. One should have friend circles where one can relax by doing jovial talks. Recreational clubs, good food, and spending quality time with family members and friends play a big role in improving mental health.
