Digital Desk: In a shocking incident in Guwahati, a young man reportedly injured his left hand out of fear of being arrested.
The man, identified as Sandeep Choudhury from Bhangagarh, was accused in a kidnapping case involving a young woman from Bihar.
Sandeep had been in a relationship with the young woman and brought her to Guwahati from Bihar two days ago.
However, the woman's family had filed a kidnapping case in a Bihar police station, leading Bihar police to travel to Guwahati.
Following their arrival to investigate the incident, an argument occurred between Sandeep and the police.
Despite consent from Sandeep and the woman, the police and her family were reluctant to approve of their relationship.
As a result, Sandeep injured his own hand with a sharp weapon, reportedly driven by fear of the consequences.
