Digital Desk: In a significant operation conducted at a residence in Islampatty, Dergaon police seized a range of tools and materials used for manufacturing counterfeit currency.


On Saturday night, under the leadership of Dergaon Sub-Divisional Police officer, Bikramjit Bora, police confiscated a large quantity of counterfeit note-making chemicals along with numerous rolls of black and white paper from a house in Islampatty.


Following a secret tip-off, the police team recovered the items used for making counterfeit currency.  


Those involved in the incident fled the scene upon receiving a warning of the police's arrival. So far, the police have not detained anyone in this regard.


During the operation, the police officials refrained from providing any statements.  


According to reports, Islampatty has been home to such illegal activities, luring individuals with promises of doubling their money through the counterfeit currency business.
