Digital Desk: In broad daylight, yet another disturbing incident of harassment against a young woman has emerged in the heart of Guwahati city.

The incident reportedly took place at a pharmacy named "Arjun Medicos," located in the bustling area of Sachal.

The owner of the pharmacy, 55-year-old Sukendra Sinha, has been accused of a serious offense involving the harassment of a young woman.

According to reports, the victim had visited the pharmacy for a thyroid test. Under the pretext of conducting the procedure, the accused allegedly led her to a room, locked the door, and engaged in inappropriate behaviour.

The woman has accused the owner of touching her private parts without her consent while inside the locked room. She further alleged that similar incidents had reportedly taken place at the same pharmacy in the past.

Determined to take a stand and prevent such acts from happening, the young woman voiced her concerns and demanded justice during a media interaction.

Acting on her complaint, the Dispur police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.

The accused, Sukendra Sinha, has been detained by the police, while the victim has been taken to the Dispur police station for further questioning.

The truth behind the incident will only emerge after a thorough investigation by the authorities.
