Massive Fire Breaks Out in Lumding, Homes Reduced to Ash Near Officers’ Colony

The house of a family was completely gutted, and a LPG gas cylinder exploded

Digital Desk: Massive fire broke out in Lumding near the Officers’ Colony, causing extensive damage to residential property.In the incident, the house of a family was completely gutted, and a LPG  gas cylinder exploded, intensifying the blaze.

Although no casualties were reported, the fire reduced the homes of Shankar Lodha and Kartik Lodha to ashes.On receiving information, fire brigade personnel, along with the Railway Police and Assam Police, rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control before it could spread further.

The blaze destroyed property worth several lakh rupees. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

An investigation is underway.
