Digital Desk: An incident has disrupted the wedding reception at Madhumilan Marriage Hall in Madhupur, Demow, on February 9 near the national highway.


Nabarun Baruah, a young man from Jyoti Nagar, was suddenly chased by another youth armed with a machete after stepping out of a black Scorpio vehicle.


Acting quickly to save himself, Nabarun Baruah managed to flee the scene unharmed.


The commotion drew a large crowd to the area.


In an attempt to escape, the three youths involved tried to drive off in the Scorpio but ended up struck in freshly laid soil on the national highway.


Upon being alerted, Demow police promptly arrived at the location.


They seized the Scorpio and detained two intoxicated youths, identified as Sandipan Phukan and Siddhartha Konwar.


However, a third individual, Jyotishman Baruah, managed to evade capture and remains at large.
