Digital Desk: Police in Bilasipara have detained a youth for allegedly sharing objectionable AI-generated images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Facebook.


The accused, identified as Rafiqul Islam of Kathaldi Part-II village, reportedly circulated manipulated images depicting PM Modi alongside West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, as well as inappropriate depictions of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.


The social media posts triggered widespread public outrage in the locality, leading to a formal complaint at Bilasipara Police Station.


Following the report, police apprehended Rafiqul Islam and confirmed that a detailed investigation into the matter is currently underway.
