Sonitpur: In a tragic accident, a youth died after being electrocuted in the Urang Basti of Nagshankar near Chutia late at night, the report said.
The shocking incident occurred when the deceased, identified as Jatin Nath (28), tried to remove a transformer barrel fuse. However, he accidentally touched the electrical wires of 11 kilowatts, which led to his death.

Following the accident, the Chutia police reached the spot and recovered the youth's body.
As per the police, a probe has started regarding the mishap, and necessary steps will be taken after the investigation.
