Digital Desk: The lifeless body of a young man was discovered in suspicious circumstances at a complex in Guwahati's Six Mile area on Friday.

The body was discovered in the parking area of the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) office at Six Mile, according to sources.

The deceased's surname is said to be Payeng. His true identity has yet to be determined.

According to accounts, the deceased was a department employee.

Meanwhile, detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and a forensic team arrived at the crime scene and began their investigation.

In another incident, a man hailing from Assam was discovered dead in Meghalaya on Thursday night.

According to sources, the deceased man, Mintu Bora, comes from the Kohuatoli village of Batadrava in Nagaon district.

According to reports, Mintu travelled to Meghalaya with his brother-in-law three days ago to start a new job at a cement company.

His lifeless body was discovered last night at his company-allotted quarter in Meghalaya.

The cause of his death has yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, Mintu's family claims that the murder was committed by his brother-in-law.
