The victim later filed a complaint at the Dispur police station, providing a detailed account of the assault.
The altercation reportedly revolved around a young woman. Allegations suggest that the group of men forcibly brought the YouTuber from a rental house to Ganeshguri, where the attack took place.
The victim, identified as Biki Moriya, a YouTuber from Amguri in Sivasagar, also claimed that he was assaulted by the police at the station after the incident.
The sequence of events began when a man named Rahul invited the YouTuber to Guwahati for the promotion of a homestay on his YouTube channel.
During the visit, Rahul allegedly requested the YouTuber to roast a young woman in one of his videos.
When the YouTuber refused the request, he was subsequently attacked by the group in Guwahati.
