  • A youth from the Pulibor area has been detained for his alleged attempt to join ULFA (I)

Digital Desk: A youth from the Pulibor area, who was reportedly preparing to join the banned militant organisation, United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA-I), has been arrested by the Jorhat police.


The individual, identified as Dhonti Das, was allegedly in contact with the banned group and was apprehended by the police on Saturday night at Mohbandha Chapori in West Jorhat.


According to reports, Dhonti had been unable to secure a job with the Assam government and had aspirations of joining the organisation, driven by the belief that he could work with them.


The Pulibor police has since filed an FIR against Dhonti Das and he has been sent to judicial custody.
