Digital Desk: Following allegations of disruption caused by some visitors at Zubeen Kshetra, the Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration has imposed time restrictions for visiting the site.

Notably, several complaints had surfaced about certain individuals consuming alcohol and engaging in unruly behaviour, especially during nighttime at the memorial site.

In light of these concerns, and after discussion with local residents and organisations, strict directives have been issued by District Commissioner Sumit Sattavan to preserve the sanctity and purity of the legendary singer Zubeen Garg's memorial site located at Hatimura, Kamarkuchi.

Visitors can pay their respects to the iconic singer from 6 am onwards, while entry will be restricted after 11 pm.

Furthermore, individuals under influence of alcohol will not be allowed to enter or remain within the premises of the memorial site.

The consumption, distribution, or serving of any intoxicating substance within the memorial compound has been strictly prohibited.
