Massive fire at Isuzu-Benelli showroom in Guwahati

Digital Desk: A major fire broke out in Benelli and Isuzu showroom near Guwahati's Basistha area on Wednesday. Fire engulfed the showroom, resulting in a property loss of around Rs 10 crore. No casualties were reported.

The fire and emergency services department arrived at the scene after being informed, and around eight fire extinguisher vehicles were dispatched to help with the rescue operation.

As per reports, several cars and bikes inside the showroom were completely gutted in the fire. However, due to the quick action of the fire department, many cars stored in the godown behind the showroom were saved.

Following the incident, an LPG cylinder stored inside the property also caught fire and exploded, spreading the flames further.

The showroom authorities stated that they were assessing the actual loss. Notably, the showrooms that caught fire were the only facilities for Isuzu and Benelli in the Northeast.

The showroom belonged to Prag News owner Dr. Sanjive Narain who is also the managing director of Isuzu Northeast and Benelli.
