Digital Desk: Today, Rantu Panifukan, the General Secretary of Bir Lachit Sena, stated , “I want justice for Zubeen.” Shortly before, he was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court, along with Utpal Dutta and Tonmoy Chetia, both members of the organization.

The Dispur Police demanded to have the three people in custody of five days to further interrogate them. Nevertheless, the court allowed the police a period of three days in custody.

According to reports, the trio was detained and later arrested while addressing a press conference yesterday. The police allege that their activities during the event violated legal provisions, prompting immediate action.

Panifukan, who has been outspoken in his quest to seek justice over the death of late singer Zubeen Garg, alleged , that there is a conspiracy to divert the main issue and suppress their movement.

Meanwhile, supporters of Bir Lachit Sena have condemned the arrests, calling them an attempt to silence those demanding accountability in the ongoing case related to Zubeen Garg’s death. The organization has stated that they will go on with their peaceful protests until justice is served.
