The Trophy Tour will officially commence on 7th November , 2025
Digital Desk: With just weeks remaining for the start of the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2025 in Tamil Nadu, Hockey India has announced an exciting nationwide Trophy Tour, during which the prestigious World Cup trophy will travel across 20 cities in the country.
The Trophy Tour will officially commence on November 7, 2025, as part of the Hockey India Centenary Celebrations at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi. The. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development in Tamil Nadu Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, FIH President Dato Tayyab Ikram, and the officials of Hockey India; President, Dr. Dilip Tirkey, Secretary General, Shri Bhola Nath Singh and Treasurer, Sekar J. Manoharan, will grace the occasion.
The tour is also expected to create national hype and bring hockey fans together prior to the Junior World Cup to be held between 28th November and 10th December , 2025, in Chennai and Madurai. The trophy will also tour 20 key cities prior to being handed over to the Tamil Nadu, thereby giving the fans in India a chance to have a closer look at the trophy and celebrate.
Speaking about the initiative, Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey said, “The Trophy Tour is designed to take the thrill of the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup to every corner of India. As hosts of the largest-ever Junior World Cup featuring 24 teams, we want fans across the country to feel connected and send their best wishes to Team India.”
Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh added, “From Jammu and Kashmir to Kerala, the Trophy Tour will unite hockey enthusiasts nationwide. Beginning the journey in New Delhi during Hockey India’s Centenary Celebration makes this moment even more special.”
