Digital Desk: Today, a mid-air scare unfolded today aboard IndiGo flight 6E 108, travelling from Hyderabad to Chandigarh, after a passenger’s personal electronic device caught fire, triggering panic on board.


The aircraft made a safe landing at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Mohali, where an emergency evacuation was carried out.


Passengers reported that the cabin filled with smoke due to the fire. Around five passengers are suspected to have sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The airline stated that the aircraft will undergo necessary safety checks before resuming operations.
