Digital Desk: A shocking crime has rocked Joymati Nagar in Pandu, Guwahati, after a woman murdered her husband and buried his body inside their home. The alleged accused, Rahima Khatun, is also suspected of running an illegal sex racket from the same place. As per the report, after killing her husband, she fled to Dhubri. However, later in a dramatic turn of events, Rahima surrendered herself at the Jalukbari Police Station.
The victim has been identified as Sobiyal Rahman. After her confession, a special investigation was carried out by the police. The investigation is ongoing, and officers, along with a magistrate, are expecting to exhume the buried human body.
Police sources indicate that the case began unfolding after Sobiyal's family filed a missing person complaint, raising suspicions about Rahima's involvement. The mystery was further created by her abrupt disappearance. Following a prolonged effort of investigation, she was spotted by law enforcement, and later she surrendered herself.
